Homemade Bookmarks

bookmark friends

In this age of technology, many children have traded traditional printed books for the screen. Call me old-fashioned, but I’d rather my kids have a book in hand than a touch screen tablet. So I do whatever I can to keep them interested in flipping tangible pages.

This week, my little ones made homemade bookmarks. It’s an easy activity that adds a personal touch to the reading experience.

You Can Do It, Too!

Materials Needed:  Popsicle sticks (jumbo preferred), pom poms, wiggly eyes, paint, and glue

Instructions: Have fun. Be unique. Be creative.

  1. I’m old-fashioned with you. It’s hard to cozy up with a good electronic reading device! Plus, you can’t beat the feel and smell of books. Love the bookmarks. So cute.

Not only am I old-fashioned, I’m old school! Nothing beats a book in hand and as always you scored 100% with those bookmarks. Great job!!!!
