When did you decide to homeschool your children?

I began homeschooling my oldest son in January 2013. The same year, I began homeschooling my daughter in fall.

Describe your homeschool in three words.

The three words that would describe our homeschool are Purpose, Joy, and Empowering.

What’s your goal as a home educator?

My goal as an educator is to develop confident learners who are also caring, responsible, protective, independent, and Christ-centered children ready to make a positive difference in their community.

How has homeschooling changed you?

Homeschooling has helped me to gain more of an understanding of my children’s learning styles, academic needs, love language for support, and it has aided me in being more patient.

What’s your proudest homeschool moment?

My proudest moment is seeing how my children have both excelled in their studies since homeschooling. They are all excited in the morning to start their day with their assignments. They have also grown into independent learners, which is a big plus in my book.

Which Bible verse helps you most with homeschooling? How?

The Bible verse that is our favorite is Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. It teaches us not to set limitations on ourselves no matter how hard or difficult the challenge may be. We believe and support one another with Christ being the centerpiece of our family’s love.
