Encourage Yourself in the Lord

Our inner voice is the most powerful voice. It has the power to propel us forward or pull us backward. And no matter how many other voices (family, friends, coworkers, etc.) surround us, it’s our own voice that carries the greatest weight.

Reflection of the Week:

Encourage yourself. Speak well of yourself. Declare God’s Word and blessings over yourself.

Scripture of the Week:

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God. – 1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)

Dear God, may my inner voice reflect Your voice concerning me, in Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Oh, Angel, so true! I don’t think I have ever really thought of it like that: encourage yourself in the Lord. It is true that the voices around you can be encouraging, but sometimes it is hard to believe them. Encourage yourself in the Lord!

Yes, Karen, the key words are “in the Lord”. It’s the only way to truly be uplifted. Have an awesome week, friend!
