This Is Only for a Season

may devotionHomeschooling is a time-consuming task. And when parents take on this task, they quickly realize that, in order to successfully provide a valuable education, some of their personal plans and desires have to be set aside.

Everything has its given time or season. The opportunity to educate our children in a nurturing home environment is a short season. Children are only children for a short time, and their K-12 education years are even shorter.

Make the most of this season by remembering that you are doing a great and rewarding work. Don’t live in regret or frustration for the sacrifices you’ve made. But hold on to hope – the hope that comes with knowing that everything has its given time or season, including achieving your personal goals.

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven: —Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV)

Dear God, I thank you for this season and seasons to come, in Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.
