Keep Your Mind Stayed on Him

Some researchers estimate that the average person has about 70,000 thoughts per day. That’s a whole lot of thoughts! But I wonder: How much would that number increase if the minds of homeschooling parents were the subject of study. Teaching math alone can put some of our minds into overdrive.

Isaiah 26:3 promises us perfect peace when we keep our thoughts focused on God.

But how can we keep our thoughts on God when there is so much going on in the world, in our country, in our families, and in our homeschools?

Well, Isaiah 26:3 also ends with “because he trusteth in Thee”. Trust is the key to keeping our minds stayed on the Lord. Sure, we’ll still have tens of thousands of thoughts per day, but there should be one constant, unwavering thought: No matter what’s going on around me, God is in control.

Verse of the Month

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. – Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

Dear God, Keep my mind in perfect peace and stayed on You, in Christ Jesus’ name. Amen.
